Betamax (also known as Beta, as in its logo) is an analog recording and cassette format of magnetic tape for video.  BETA were an upgrade in quality to the original VHS.

There are a few options for transferring your BETA tapes. Going directly to the PC will transfer to a high quality MPEG2 file. You also have the option for me to transfer to the following video files: .AVI, .WMV, or .H264.
The other option is to go to DVD.

Note: A standard DVD holds 1 hour of HQ video. If your tape is over 60min long, it will need to be divided into  separate DVD's.

Pricing

I do not charge until I complete the task... just in case a tape is blank or non-functional.

I do not charge for blanks. I also do not charge for editing out blank areas on the tapes.

BETAMAX to DVD:
FYI... 1 hour of HQ footage can fit on a DVD, so if a tape is more than 1 hour, it will have to be divided onto 2 DVD's.

1 tape--> 1 DVD = $12. If more than 60min, and we need to split to two DVDs, it is only an extra $2 ($14 total), 3DVD ($16), etc...

** If tapes are less than 30min and I can fit 2 on one DVD (if you choose to go that route), I will only charge the $18 for the 1 DVD (instead of 2 separate $12 transfers).**

BETAMAX to DIGITAL FILES:
If going to only digital files (no DVD's)... it is $10 per transfer if less than 1HR, and $12 if 1HR-2HR. (over 2hr is $14, 3HR is $16, etc..),

You can either supply a flash drive/hard drive, or I can buy one for you (I get them very cheap and I customize the label).

16GB = $10
32GB= $15
64GB- $20
128GB= $25
256GB= $35
1 TB = $60

FOR BOTH DVD & DIGITAL: I will charge the DVD rate, and then just a rate of $2 per digital (plus cost of drive if I buy drive).
