Here are some Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What types of media can you transfer?
A: MiniDV Tapes, DV Tapes, Video 8/8mm tapes, Hi-8 tapes, Digital 8 tapes, VHS Tapes, VHS-C, MiniDVD, Digital Memory Cards, Photos, 35mm Slides, 35mm Film, 8mm Reels, Audio Cassette tapes, Vinyl, CD, and DVD.
Q: How much does this cost?
A: Each page has prices listed for each option available. You will not find anyone cheaper anywhere!! Discounts are often given depending on the amount ordered.
Q: Can I have my DVD or Drive customized?
A: Yes! You can customize the face of your CD/DVD which is direct print to disc for FREE. You can also choose a label for your USB drive for FREE. I also do edit work, combine tapes, and other services for a small fee (negotiable). Ask for a quote!!
Q: Can I send you my hard drive to put digital files on?
A: Yes, if you would like a digital file, you can either send a flash drive or hard drive to me. If you do not have one, I can actually "Dropbox" a file to you, or host it on my website and send you a link to it. I can also supply a USB drive with a nice label on it.
Q: How good will my footage look? Will it be HD?
A: When footage gets older, it loses some quality, and then when footage is transferred, it loses a little bit more. With the direct transfer process and the "enhancement" features I have available, I can make your footage look as close to your original footage as possible. Remember, footage can only be as good as how you recorded it... meaning that if you shot analog footage, it obviously cannot be turned into HD. I will analyze your footage and give you the best possible option.
Q: How fast is your turnaround?
A: It depends on how many orders I have and how many tapes you need done. Remember, that video is transferred in real time, which means if a tape is 2 hours long... it takes 2 hours to transfer, and then an additional 30-45 minutes to enhance and burn. If I am not busy.. I would say to figure about 8-10 tapes per day. I can give you an estimate when you contact me.
Q: Is my footage kept confidential?
A: Of course. I am the only person that will view your footage, to make sure it is copied and looks good.
Q: Can you recover files from a damaged DVD/CD??
A: Yes. I have a program which can recover files from a damaged DVD/CD, and then will allow me to re-burn the DVD and you will have a working copy. Some DVD/CD's are damaged so badly that they are beyond recovery, but I can give it a try. Request a quote!!
Q: Can you take HD video and burn it??
A: Yes. HD Video must be burned to Blu-Ray discs in order for it to be playable in HD.
Q: How do I pay you?
A: I accept paypal, Venmo, and Zelle. I also accept CASH if we are meeting in person. (Westchester/NYC only)
